Medical Insurance BIK arrears

Hello,

I forgot to include Medical Insurance BIK for one of my employees since August 2024, she was moved from one payroll to another and this was overlooked, could someone please help me and let me know how do i proceed with this in November?  Can i pay her the medical insurance BIK for 4 months this month?

    Hi,

    Thank you for using the Community Hub.

    As Benefits in Kind recorded on the payslip impact the calculation of Tax, Pay-Related Social Insurance (PRSI), Universal Social Charge (USC) including the 4 months of arrears would have a significant impact on the employees net pay.

    You could go back and edit the completed pay runs to reflect what should have happened but again this is likely to generate a liability for the employee.

    We would advise contacting Revenue to identify the appropriate way of dealing with this circumstance.
