Sage Community Hub Usage Guidelines

Welcome to Community Hub—a space where you can share tips and techniques about Sage products and connect with other Sage customers and partners. We have some simple rules for online behaviour that helps keep Community Hub a friendly and supportive place for members of the community.

To register for Community Hub, you must be 18 years of age or older. By registering, you agree to follow these Community Usage Guidelines and to be bound by Sage’s Privacy Policy where applicable.

1. Keep it relevant

Community Hub is here to help people connect and get the most out of their Sage software. Keep the discussions relevant and on-topic, and please don't discuss personal matters or be abusive towards any company or product.

2. Keep it courteous

Community Hub is a great place to share your experience and opinions with other members. We encourage respectful debate and discussion, but attacks on other posters will not be tolerated.

Don’t post anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties.

3. Keep it spam-free

If you have questions about Sage products and services, then you’ve come to the right place. You can search Community Hub for answers, as well as connect with Sage partners and other customers. However, it’s not the place to promote unrelated third- party services, products, websites, or organizations, so don’t post advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, etc.

4. Keep it legal

We want to make Community Hub a safe place to communicate, so don’t post any content that could potentially harm others. This includes anything that might infringe on someone else's rights (like patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or copyrights), contain viruses or other harmful code, or encourage illegal activity.

5. Be careful

Most people are happy to help out in an online community. Just keep in mind that the advice shared here is based on personal experiences, so it's up to you to decide whether it's suitable for you or not. If something doesn't feel right, it's totally okay to skip it.

Also, let's make sure we keep Community Hub a safe space for everyone. Avoid sharing personal details like your name, address, age, or phone number. And if someone ever asks you for sensitive info like your account number, address, password, or credit card details, remember it's best not to give it out.

6. Keep confidential information confidential

Make sure you don't share or discuss any confidential info or personal data (as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation) about yourself, your company, Sage, or anyone else. It's up to each of us to double-check that posts don't contain anything that could be considered confidential or personal data by someone else.

This includes things like proprietary info, trade secrets, details about Sage-related agreements, nondisclosure agreements, sales or service agreements, any data that identifies or relates to an individual, or anything else that could be deemed confidential.

7. Sage retains the right to remove content and limit users' access

While we usually don't edit content posted by members of Community Hub, we do reserve the right to limit access or remove anything that doesn't align with our Community Usage Guidelines or is inappropriate, harmful, or inaccurate. Some community members may also have this right.

If the Community Usage Guidelines or other terms aren't followed, access to our services might be suspended or terminated. If your account is suspended, you won’t be able to sign in. So, let's all do our best to keep Community Hub a welcoming and helpful place for everyone.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Most of the community's content is created by members like you, and it's important to remember that each person is responsible for their own material. Sage does not control or take responsibility for third-party content.

9. Signature Guidelines

A signature is a personal touch that you can add to the end of your messages or posts. It's a great way to express who you are and what you stand for. Usually, it includes your name and business, but feel free to add a statement, quote, or funny remark (but keep it clean!)

When creating your signature, you can type it directly into your messages or you can use the Signature feature in your Member Profile settings. It should be no longer than 250 characters to fit neatly into three lines of text. While you may include your company name or email address, please do not direct members to external websites.

If you're providing help to others in the community and your company is affiliated with Sage or offers a Sage-related product, please add your company name to your signature.

Keep in mind that Sage doesn't guarantee the accuracy or quality of any material shared in our community, so it's important to use your own judgment. We won't be held liable for any content, errors, or losses that may result from using or relying on the material shared here.

Thanks for being part of our community, and happy posting!
