Upgrading from Older Versions
If your system is running Sage CRM 2021 or an earlier version, you will need to upgrade through one or more intermediate supported versions. This is sometimes referred to as the long tail upgrade path.
System administrators should be aware of some possible issues. In particular, you may find the following article helpful:
“[Fixed] SQLError: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Libr_LibraryId', table 'CRM.dbo.Library'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails”

If you use Sage CRM integrated with a Sage accounting product, there may be specific upgrade considerations. Always refer to the integration documentation to confirm compatibility and any additional requirements.
Recommendations for Long-Term Users
If you are still using a much older version, such as Sage CRM 7.x, we recommend planning a staged upgrade. Although this may involve several steps, the benefits include:
• Better performance
• Access to new features and interface improvements
• Higher levels of security
• Continued access to Sage technical support
When planning your upgrade, remember to check all integration points:
• Follow the Sage accounting integration guides for connected Sage products
• Review documentation from third-party vendors for any external integrations
