We recently had a case where the BP has had a customer where the activity table has been updating with tons of information and they were wondering how to possibly reduce that activity. During one of the many options that we suggested they came back with wanting to understand in Sage CRM User Activity Screen what the Logoff Method Drop Down filter options meant as there was no official Sage definition online.
acty_logoff
As there is no documentation on this apart from the help button on the screen. Here is the purpose of this filtering system.
Just stating what the method in which the user was logged off. It might use the time out settings if it was a rule in the system. Forced log out, user pressed logoff or an admin logged them out via the sysadmin url.
Unknown can commonly by due to a user just closing the browser and not logging out before hand.
- Kicked - System failure and the user got kicked out
- Manual - The user logged off from the system manually
- Timed Out - The user hadn't used the Sage CRM system for more than x minutes. A combination what the ISS time out rule and CRM system idle settings are set to.
- Unknown - Closed the browser without logging off
- Failure - user logged on with an incorrect password
This is a great way to filter in the User Activity Screen information to narrow down along side logs or user behaviours as to what might have happened and how to track it.
