A Vision for Growth: Highlights from the May 2025 Sage CRM Business Partner Advisory Council

The Sage CRM Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC) met on 21st May 2025 with a dynamic session that underscored Sage’s enduring commitment to its CRM platform. Hosted by Jeff Richards, Head of Training Program Development, the webinar featured updates from Engineering, partner case studies, and a roadmap review that highlights Sage CRM's momentum and future direction.

The session featured:

Elizabeth Pienaar, Engineering and Support Manager for Sage CRM, who presented detailed technical updates.
Colin Chambers, CRM Systems Inc., who showcased a highly customised Sage CRM deployment for the petroleum industry.

Product and Patch Updates


Elizabeth Pienaar confirmed that the much-anticipated Sage CRM 2025 R1 is scheduled for release by the end of May. The key features include:

  • Modernised Exchange Online integration using Microsoft Graph API.
  • UI enhancements like sibling entity linking, streamlined gadget icons, and repositioned email import controls.
  • Security and self-service improvements based on customer feedback.

Three updated patches released on 15th May 2025 resolve critical issues from earlier updates, especially with time zone-related calendar syncing. These apply to versions 2022 R2.7, 2023 R2.5, and 2024 R2.2.

Sage CRM’s global visibility continues to grow, with a strong presence at:

  • TPAC Toronto (April 2025) – 150+ delegates, 20+ exhibitors, and Sage CRM featured in major keynotes and “Big Win” partner success sessions.
  • APAC Partner Webinar (April 2025) – Reinforcing Sage CRM’s relevance across Sage 100, 300, Intacct, and X3.

Training & Enablement

Partners were reminded of the free online Sage CRM Fundamentals training, with recordings of the live lessons hosted on the Sage Support YouTube channel. Topics range from contacts and communications to forecasts and customer care.

Partner Insights

Petroleum Insights CRM: Colin Chambers demonstrated a full-scale vertical CRM solution tailored for petroleum marketers using Sage CRM and Sage 100, with complex workflows, credit management, and integrations with Chevron/ExxonMobil requirements.

Partner Success Stries

  • Mark Engelberg (Timelinx) announced a new Sage 200 integration, expanding their mobile field service solution’s compatibility.
  • Mich Martins (MWare) shared a transformative implementation involving cross-border fertiliser logistics and an integration with Sage Business Cloud Accounting.

Roadmap and Strategic Priorities

Jeff Richards introduced an updated roadmap and gap analysis based on customer needs and analyst insights:

Strategic Priorities:

  • Mobile App & Offline Access – Expanding partner and ISV mobile options.
  • AI Integration – Sage Copilot to enhance workflows and predictive features.
  • Omnichannel Messaging – Focus on chat and WhatsApp.
  • Marketing Automation – Improved integrations and tools.
  • Low-Code Customisation – Empowering citizen developers.
