Acting Like a Startup: July 2025 BPAC Recap and What Comes Next for Sage CRM

3 minute read time.

The July 2025 meeting of the Sage CRM Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC) reinforced a central message: Sage CRM is evolving with the energy and mindset of a startup — agile, customer-focused, and relentlessly forward-looking.

Bulb The Main Theme:

Acting like a startup within a global enterprise.

That’s how Jeff Richards, Head of Training Program Development for Sage CRM, described the current direction of the product team. From technical innovation to partner collaboration, Sage CRM is being developed and delivered with pace, flexibility, and purpose.

Pencil Key Highlights from the Session

1. Commitment and Clarity

Sage CRM is a profitable, actively supported product with a roadmap extending to 2030. Internally, Sage has strengthened its messaging around CRM, unlocking new investment and support across regions.

2. 2025 R1 Release and Exchange Online Integration

The major story of the year is the transition to Microsoft Graph API for Exchange Online integration, now complete in 2025 R1. This release also includes security enhancements and UI improvements, with support for Windows Server 2025.

3. Looking Ahead: 2025 R2 and Beyond

Scheduled for release at the end of October 2025, R2 will further extend Exchange Online sync to contacts and tasks. Beta access begins 6 October. The roadmap will be refreshed through 2030, taking into account the delayed 64-bit Delphi transition.

4. Introducing Sage CRM Labs

A new “Labs” initiative will enable faster delivery of experimental features — installable components that can be easily added, tested, and removed. Think configurators, templates, webhooks, and more.

5. Partner Success Stories

Powerful vertical solutions were showcased, including:

  • An insurance workflow integrating mobile data capture, CRM, and accounting.

  • A comprehensive agriculture logistics system built on Sage CRM and Sage 300.

  • A loan management platform tailored for financial services.

6. Marketplace & Enablement

Sage CRM will soon be featured as a dedicated category in the Sage Global Marketplace, providing ISVs with greater visibility. New enablement activity is rolling out in APAC, Africa, and the Middle East.
