As we come to the close of another year, I would like to wish everyone who celebrates Christmas a very Merry Christmas, and to wish everyone, wherever you are in the world, a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2026.

This is also a natural moment to pause and reflect on what has been a significant and encouraging year for Sage CRM. 2025 has been about connection, momentum and rebuilding closeness with our partner and customer community, while continuing the steady modernisation of a product that remains critical to many businesses.

Getting closer to our partners

One of the most important developments in 2025 has been the creation and growth of the Sage CRM Business Partner Advisory Council, BPAC. Through regular BPAC meetings, we have created a structured and open forum where partners can share feedback, challenge assumptions, and influence priorities. These conversations have helped us better understand real-world implementation challenges, regional differences, and where Sage CRM needs to evolve to better support partner-led solutions.

Alongside BPAC, the Beta Programmes for Sage CRM 2025 R1 and 2025 R2 have been a cornerstone of collaboration. Partners and ISVs have played a vital role in validating new features, identifying edge cases, and ensuring that releases are robust and predictable. The quality of feedback we have received this year has directly shaped the product, and we are grateful to everyone who invested their time and expertise.

A year of important technical milestones

From a technical perspective, 2025 delivered some major milestones.

One of the most significant was the completion of the Microsoft Exchange Online integration revamp. The move away from Exchange Web Services and application impersonation to Microsoft Graph was essential, driven by changes in Microsoft’s platform and security model. Completing this transition ensures that Sage CRM remains secure, compliant and supportable for customers using Exchange Online, while laying the foundations for future identity and integration improvements.

Security and platform hardening have also been a constant focus throughout the year. Each release has continued to address customer-reported issues, reduce technical debt, and strengthen the underlying platform. This work is not always visible, but it is fundamental to trust, stability and long-term success.

Introducing Sage CRM Labs

2025 also saw the introduction of Sage CRM Labs, a new way of delivering innovation more quickly and transparently. Labs allows us to introduce new capabilities in a controlled and optional way, gather real-world feedback, and iterate before committing features into the core product.

Features such as Quote Templates and Webhooks have demonstrated how Labs can empower partners and customers to extend Sage CRM, close functional gaps, and build more tailored solutions without waiting for major release cycles. This is an approach we will continue to build on.

Learning together through online training

Another highlight of the year has been the expansion of online training and enablement. Through webinars, recorded sessions, and shared resources, we have been able to reach more partners and customers across regions, making it easier to understand Sage CRM’s capabilities, roadmap and best practices.

These sessions have not only been about features and functionality, but also about sharing context, explaining why certain decisions are made, and helping partners position Sage CRM confidently alongside Sage accounting products and third-party solutions.

The impact of TPAC and Sage events

It would be impossible to reflect on 2025 without mentioning the impact of TPAC conferences and Sage events around the world. Whether in Asia, Africa, North America or Europe, these events have reinforced Sage’s commitment to Sage CRM and highlighted the strength of the ecosystem around it.

Meeting partners face to face, seeing real customer solutions, and hearing success stories has been energising for everyone involved. These events remind us that Sage CRM is not just a product, but a platform that enables innovation through partners.

Looking ahead to 2026

In the first half of the year, our primary focus will be on hardening the platform further and resolving customer issues. Stability, security and quality will remain the priority, ensuring that Sage CRM continues to be a dependable foundation for your businesses and solutions.

Later in the year, we will return with a renewed focus on innovation. This will include progress in areas such as AI, deeper and simpler third-party integrations, and extensions to the product that close functional gaps and give partners even greater ability to deliver solutions that are precisely tailored to customer needs.
