Advisory: Replacement of eWareEmailManager.exe file for Customers impacted by CRMS-1879

In Sage CRM 2023 R2, when Email Management is configured to use HTTP rather than HTTPS, the following error may be written to the logs:

"Exception connecting to Mail Server: Error connecting with SSL."

We have resolved this error by changing the “eWareEmailManager.exe” file.

The new eWareEmailManager.exe fixes the customer issue CRMS-1879.

Note: By default, Sage CRM is installed to %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Sage\CRM\. e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\

Customers are advised to replace the existing “eWareEmailManager.exe” file in the %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Sage\CRM\Services folder with the “eWareEmailManager.exe” file supplied here.

  1. Download and unzip the file.
  2. Navigate to %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Sage\CRM\Services
  3. Replace the existing “eWareEmailManager.exe” file with the new version.
  4. You may need to restart your server to ensure the fix is applied.

This issue is resolved in Sage CRM 2024 R2.

This applies to Sage CRM stand-alone and when integrated with Sage accounting products. Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 200, Sage 1000, Sage 300, Sage X3 and Sage Intacct.
