Advisory: Sage CRM and Microsoft Exchange Online Integration Patch Now Available for All Supported Versions

We are pleased to announce that the Exchange Online Integration patch is now available for all currently supported versions of Sage CRM.

  • Released on 14th March 2025: Sage CRM 2024 R2.1
  • Now Available: Sage CRM 2022 R2.6 & Sage CRM 2023 R2.4

Sage CRM Exchange Integration

Sage CRM’s Exchange Integration enables seamless synchronization between Sage CRM and Microsoft Exchange Online, supporting:

  • Automatic synchronization of appointments, tasks, and contacts
  • Continuous sync, even when Outlook is closed
  • Compatibility with Outlook Client, Outlook Web Access, and mobile devices

Key Changes: Migration to Microsoft Graph API

Microsoft retired the Application Impersonation Role in Exchange Online (February 2025). To ensure continued functionality, Sage CRM has transitioned from Exchange Web Services (EWS) to the Microsoft Graph API.

What This Means for You:

  • If you use Exchange On-Premise, this update does not impact you.
  • If you use Exchange Online, this patch restores full connectivity and ensures ongoing support.

Patch Highlights

  • Bi-directional synchronization of appointments is maintained
  • "Import Emails and Contacts" replaces the previous contact sync feature
  • Task synchronization will be introduced in Sage CRM 2025 R1 or a future patch

This transition aligns Sage CRM’s integration with Microsoft’s evolving security model while ensuring uninterrupted functionality.

Next Steps

These updates apply to both standalone Sage CRM installations and those integrated with:
Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 200, Sage 300, Sage X3, Sage Intacct

For any questions or support with the update, please contact your Sage representative or visit our support channels.

Thank you for your patience and continued trust in Sage CRM.
