How to configure Exchange Online Office 365 and what is its limit?

Hello, 
 We have a customer who wants to use the Outlook plugin to sync appointments and tasks and archive emails. 
 The problem that we have found is that it works with 64-bit office 365 and they cannot change it to 32-bit, this is because it is incompatible with their organization 
 We have thought about configuring it with their Exchange Online (part of Office 365). 
 Is there a manual to configure it? How far does this integration go?

Microsoft have postponed this need indefinitely (announced Feb '21) , so we currently do the original method which is easier to set up as you don't have to mess around with oAuth2 (but can switch to it later on if Microsoft change their mind) 
 1. Within Office365 create an email account (we create one that will also be used for SMTP emailing) e.g. crm@customerdomain.com (Note: Make sure the password ONLY starts with either a letter or a number, no symbols) 
 2. Within Office365 create a new Admin Role (e.g. 'CRM Exchange Sync') and grant it 'Application Impersonation' rights, then add the new crm@ email account as a member to this role 
 3. Within CRM go to System - System Behaviour and enable Exchange Integration 
 4. Within CRM go to Email and Documents - Exchange Integration - Connection Management 
 5. Put in the following 
 URL = https://outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx Exchange Type = Exchange Server Exchange Server User Name = crm@customerdomain.com Password = The password created for this account Allow Users to Manually Install Plugin = Yes 
 When you save this, CRM will do 3 checks to make sure it can access Office365 and that the permissions are also correct. 
 6. Once completed click on the 'User Mailbox Management' tab and then the Change button within in, select whose diaries will synchronise. (don't forget to save it again, CRM will then check every mailbox to see if it can access them) 
 7. Then go to Exchange Integration - Synchronisation Management, in here you can set up what you want, because it is global we tend to do CRM to Exchange Only for both Appointments and Tasks (but you can have bidirectional if you want it does work fine, but most of our customers don't like it) once set how you want click on Enable and it will then do the initial sync and then from there every 10 minutes I think it is. 
 Only the users you have select in step 6 can then go to My CRM - Preferences and the Install Lite Plug-in will be available to them. 
 The lite plugin in is the better one to use in my opinion as the sync is now a server-to-server sync, meaning CRM and Exchange will synchronise with each other even if the user isn't logged in CRM - great for when someone else has created an appointment for them. 
 Where as the Classic plugin is a Client-to-Client sync, but only syncs when they open Outlook and sign into CRM.
