Sage CRM & Sage Report Designer

SUGGESTED

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it’s possible to use Sage Report Designer for reports, layouts, or labels within Sage CRM? Just curious to know if this integration is available.

Thanks in advance

Conceptually it's possible.  But whether that makes it a good idea is another matter.

Within Report Designer you can create a simple SQL data source for your CRM database (just with a typical SQL Server connection string), and then you can build reports/layouts etc.

The issue is how you'd then run those reports from within CRM. It's do-able (I've got a couple of ideas of how I might go about doing so if I was forced to do it), but you'd need some development work doing.

    Hi  ,

Thank you for your response. From your comment, I understand that the integration isn’t available.

The reason I asked is that I often have to create separate merge documents for each scenario. While this works, it can quickly become overwhelming with the number of documents involved.

In Sage 200, I can easily apply conditional rules, allowing the reports to adjust automatically. For example, we work with Electric Vehicles, Marinas, campsites, and contractors, and depending on the analysis codes within their Sales Ledger accounts, the reports can vary significantly.

I was just curious if this was available.

    Thanks again for your reply.
