Mailchimp field synchronisation

How do I push a custom field to Mailchimp? I find any documentation on how to configure the sync. I've added the field to the group, but it doesn't appear in Mailchimp.

In Sage CRM 2024 R2, changes were made to the Mailchimp integration that allow users to add custom fields to their Mailchimp audience. This provides more flexibility in selecting which Sage CRM fields to use in Mailchimp campaigns.

To sync a custom field with a Mailchimp audience in Sage CRM 2024 R2, follow these steps:

    1. In Sage CRM, go to My CRM | Groups.
    2. Locate and open the group linked to your Mailchimp audience.
    3. Select Change and step through the wizard to add a new field to the group contents. Take note of the name of the field you're adding. To do so, on the screen where you're adding the field to the group contents, point to the field caption. The tooltip that appears shows the field name.
    4. In your Mailchimp audience, add the corresponding field. When naming the field in Mailchimp, use the first ten characters of the corresponding field name in Sage CRM. This ensures that Sage CRM automatically matches these fields. The matching is case-insensitive.
    5. Ensure the field type in Mailchimp is set to text, as Sage CRM passes data to Mailchimp as text.
