Sage CRM Long Term Support

SOLVED

I am reviewing my company's application lifecycles.

We currently use Sage CRM and would like an indication of how Sage views the Sage CRM product long term future.

In other words, do we need to think about replacing it at some point, and if so, how many years will it definitely still be supported?

    Hi Stephen

For background please see the article here:  (+) Sage CRM Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC) – 19th March 2025 Meeting - Talking about Customers - Sage CRM - Community Hub  This contains a recording a meeting with members of the Business Partner Council so this is the message that partners should be hearing.

I think I can be pretty confident about answering.  I am off to a partner conference soon and I will be talking in the Sage Keynote about the future of Sage CRM.

Sage is absolutely committed to Sage CRM.  While it's revenue stream isn't as large as any of the products like Sage 200, Sage 300 etc it is an enormously profitable segment of the business with around 12000 active customer sites in at least 70 countries.

The company's dedication is evident through several key initiatives:

Long-Term Development Roadmap: Sage has outlined a comprehensive development roadmap for Sage CRM extending beyond 2027. This plan focuses on continuous innovation, system enhancements, and the integration of advanced technologies to keep the platform competitive and aligned with evolving business needs.

Regular Product Updates: Sage is committed to a 2 release a year schedule for Sage CRM.  The release of Sage CRM 2024 R2 exemplifies Sage's commitment to regular product improvements. This update introduced features such as enhanced mobile user experiences, improved Mailchimp integration, streamlined system administration, and bolstered security measures. These enhancements aim to increase user productivity and system efficiency.

Integration with Sage Accounting Products: Sage CRM is designed to integrate seamlessly (either out of the box or via ISV integrations) with key Sage accounting products, including Sage 100, Sage 200, Sage 300, Sage X3, and Sage Intacct. This integration facilitates a unified system for businesses to manage customer relationships and financial data effectively, streamlining operations and providing comprehensive insights around the world.

Community Engagement and Support: Sage actively fosters a collaborative environment through the Sage Community Hub.  Sage has just invested in a project to bring more resources, downloads and free training materials to the global platform. The migration of additional resources to this hub underscores Sage's dedication to enhancing user experience and support accessibility.

Collaborative Development Initiatives: To involve stakeholders in the platform's evolution, Sage has expanded its Beta Program and established the Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC).   We have been engaging in new ISVs and bring more products to the market place.  These initiatives encourage early collaboration, feedback, and the sharing of expertise, ensuring that Sage CRM continues to meet the diverse needs of its user base.

Through these concerted efforts, Sage reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the continuous support and development of Sage CRM, aiming to provide businesses with a powerful, user-friendly, and future-ready customer relationship management solution.

I can't give you a product "runway" but the product is as old as Sage Intacct and I don't see us going away anytime soon.

Thank you! This enables me to give confidence to our board that we can use the product for the foreseeable future.
