Unable to Add Advanced Search Select Field from Custom Entity to Dashboard Gadget

We are using SageCRM 2024 R2.1. Our system includes a custom entity called "Purchase Orders," and we would like to display an Advanced Search Select field from this entity in a dashboard gadget.

We have successfully created custom views based on this entity and used them to generate reports. These reports correctly display data from the Advanced Search Select field. However, when attempting to incorporate this field into a dashboard gadget, the field does not appear as expected.

We tested this behaviour on SageCRM 2024 R1, and the issue persisted. After upgrading to 2024 R2.1, we found that the issue remains unresolved. We are unsure if this is a bug, a limitation, or a configuration issue, as we could not find any relevant information in the release notes.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a workaround, or is this a known limitation of SageCRM?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Mohammed,

    What is the Adv. Search Select referencing? If you have created a custom view for the report, could you not reference the other side of the link? 

    E.g. Communication has comm_opportunityid, in a source view you would join Communication and Opportunity together on this field, and in any report you wouldn't use comm_opportunityid to display information but fields from the Opportunity entity itself like oppo_description
