Hi Gemma

Tasks are a type of communication.  They can just belong to you are the user, but they can also be linked to a company, person and even an opportunity or case etc.  If you are linking the task to any other object then you will need permission to view all of those records.

Below I have created a new task.

I just created a task without linking it to a company or person etc.  It shows up on my Calendar List

It will also show on my Calendar when it is viewed as an Agenda or Tasks

You seem to be missing your main menu.  Can you please click the Sage CRM icon in the top left - this will return you to your "home" screen.  Then please share a screen shot.

Ah!  I think I know what the problem is!  It looks like your System Administrator has not given you the necessary rights.  You will need to speak with either your own company System Administrator or speak to your Sage business partner.
