Sage CRM 2023 R2 - frequent error codes

Hi there - I'm a new user and running into these errors frequently. Maybe every third new opportunity I attempt to edit I get these error messages. Nobody I work with knows what Accept Reject means so I'm hoping for some guidance here! Having to log in again every time or having to go back to click on the opportunity and reopen it is slowing me down big time. I looked into the 'not secure' note by the URL and am told:

You're good to ignore this - it's always been like that, there's no need to "secure" this as it's an internal application that's only accessible through the VPN

ack! lol

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Liz

There's quite a bit to unpack here...

    1) Accept and Reject.

Behind the scenes there is a workflow that exists in your system to should manage how opportunities are handled and processed by you and your colleagues.  Accept & Reject are part of the default workflow that is provided out of the box.  I expect that when you click to create an opportunity using the "New Opportunity" button then you'll never see the Accept & Reject buttons.  The New Opportunity button will create the opportunity and automatically attach the opportunity to the workflow.  But opportunities not created in the same way can be added to CRM but not attached to the workflow.  For example when a Lead is converted to an opportunity it is not attached to a workflow.  The "Accept" button is there to attach the new opportunity to the workflow and allow it to be progressed.  The "Reject" button should attach the opportunity to the workflow too but assumes that you won't want to process the opportunity further.

    2) The record you have requested has been deleted or you may not have security permissions to view it.

This is where you need to talk with your system administrator.

I can see from your screen you are using Sage CRM integrated with Sage 300.  Sage CRM has a robust and detailed application security system.  An opportunity belongs to a company and a person.  In order to view this opportunity you have to have the correct permission on the associated company and person record.  This is matter of the system administrator configuring the security territories and security policies correctly.

    3) The browser message "not secure" refers to the CRM web server being configured to deliver Sage CRM over HTTP rather than HTTPS.  Sage recommends that customers install Sage CRM on servers using HTTPS.

    4) It looks, from the screen shots you shared that you are using Sage CRM 2022 R2 which will drop out of support on 30 September 2025.

Everything you have shared can be fixed quite quickly.  I recommend that your system administrator involved your Sage business partner in planning your upgrade to address all of these issues.
