Sage CRM 2024 R2 and Rackspace Email Configuration

Hello - We are new to Sage CRM having just installed 2024 R2 that is integrated with our Sage 100 2023 instance.  We also have Greytrix GUMU implemented in our instance of Sage CRM.  I am hoping someone else has implemented Sage CRM with Rackspace email and might be able to shed some light for me.

Below is how our Administration -> Email and Documents -> Email Configuration is currently set up.  We do want to keep ALL emails sent from CRM in house which is why I have 'Outgoing emails should be filed by:' set to CRM rather than Email Management Server.

I have been able to successfully send two emails from Sage CRM to myself and I am receiving the emails however, looking at the Communications tab of that company, it is not showing these emails sent.  Shouldn't the Communications tab show history of both inbound and outbound emails?  Or is there somewhere else I should be looking for the emails sent out?

Another concern I have is with what I'm seeing in the Administration -> System -> System Health screen and specifically the SMTP Connection showing a Red X.  Again, is this because we have outgoing emails filed by set up to CRM rather than Email Management Server?

If I was to change that setting to Email Management Server would we still be able to view from within CRM emails sent?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    I don't know Racksapce email. But at the end of the day we're just talking about SMTP emailing, where you send an email from CRM, it hands that to the SMTP server to sent. (So this is for outbound only email, email manager is for inbound emails and a whole difference conversation). 

    You emailed yourself from the system - are you down as a contact under a company within CRM, i.e. the email address you are sending to must be within CRM?

    If you look within the Communication table, does the email(s) that you sent actually appear in here (in case it didn't actually link it to the company / contact the email might still exist)? 

    Also to make sure you didn't tick 'Do Not File Communication'
