When is Sage 100 BOI going to get upgraded into Rest API

It would be nice if Sage 100 had a Rest API with JSON requests and responses. Does anyone have any insight on when this might happen?

While it is not built in, there are 3rd party options for a JSON API. There are a lot of posts on the forum about it and what options are available.

Note: previous discussions mention sData... but Sage has announced it's end of support for this option next year.

Yes, and there is the:

eBusiness Web Services that I believe is not available for new sales

Office 365 connector which I am unsure if they will be continuing or not (maybe someone can answer that on the forum)

For the most part, Sage's answer for replacing these options is to use the BOI which is why there are 3rd party options to be able to get a JSON or XML Restful API.

ScriptBasic (open source / MIT Common license) offers a web service option that works with BOI. A great solution for Sage 100 Advanced users wishing to run their external workstation BOI solutions on the server.
