Daily Transaction Register Hangs

I have two clients that are experiencing random issues with the DTR hanging. It shows the progress bar and the green bar just keeps going. If I kill the task, I can go to the Daily Transaction Register on the Main Menu and it runs fine with no error. Both clients are Sage 100 Advanced and use paperless office. One is 2021 and the other is 2022. So far it only happens to one user in each company and has happened in AP and AR.

There's nothing new in the kb. Has anyone seen this recently and figured out what's causing it?

  • Got the server side all done...I think...
    BTW...since I see there is additional post about the FW rules and 64bit. I already had inbound & outbound rule setup for 32bit. I left them as is. But I had to duplicate those rules and change the program path to the pvxwin64.exe. So I now have a set of rules both 32bit & 64bit.

    Attempting to reconfigure my workstation.

    • Initially just started the Sage 100 Workstation and ran the Workstation Syncronization, then after attempting start the Wkstn again, got message...'Unable to create a Session object. The Workstation by have been corrupted. Re-install Workstation Setup.
    • Reinstalled...same issue.
    • Uninstalled completely...reinstalled...same message.

    P.S. I get this same message when executing the Workstation on the server.
    When I started it, it ran the Workstation Syncronization, then the error.

    This is where I currently stand at the moment...researching.

  • Another hurdle overcome.
    Seems that with the re-creation of the Sage 100 Application Server Service, it set the Logon for the service to Local SYSTEM. This needs to be domain account, which in the original configuration was set to a previously created domain account for this purpose. Changed this and am able to login with the Workstation at both the Server & a Workstation machine.

    Moving on to recreating the AVD host.
