Daily Transaction Register Hangs

Question

I have two clients that are experiencing random issues with the DTR hanging. It shows the progress bar and the green bar just keeps going. If I kill the task, I can go to the Daily Transaction Register on the Main Menu and it runs fine with no error. Both clients are Sage 100 Advanced and use paperless office. One is 2021 and the other is 2022. So far it only happens to one user in each company and has happened in AP and AR. 
 There's nothing new in the kb. Has anyone seen this recently and figured out what's causing it?

Had a client with hanging problems. I noticed two things. When posting they would leave the PDF open and try to post and they had auto post the DTR. I turned off the option to auto post the DTR when posting and advised them to always close the PDF from Paperless Office first before trying to post. They also upgraded to the 64 bit version. Doing all of this and the hanging problem went away.

You can't remove the prompt to print the DTR... other than by removing the permission to print it. The auto-update setting is something different. 
 
 Of course that means someone else has to update their DTRs for them.

Hey everyone. I know this thread is a year or two old. Having the same issue with DTR hanging. Running Sage 100 Advanced 2024 (32bit) Now ready to convert to 64bit. I have run the utility to switch from 32bit to 64bit. Proceeded to Uninstall then recreate the Sage 100 Advanced.PVX 2024 service. When the service gets recreated the path to the executable is still referencing pvxwin32.exe. I would think it should be referencing pvxwin64.exe. If I run the Sage 100 Application Server Startup, I can see in task manager that it is executing pvxwin64.exe, so that is correct. Do I need to edit the Service and set the path to executable to the pvxwin64.exe manually? That would seem odd. 
 I have not yet executed from a workstation as I will get the update done in my Desktop Image and re-create my AVD hosts (to apply this and other OS & app updates). One question: When running from the workstation client is there an indication as to 32bit or 64bit other than checking the executable in Task Manager> 
 P.S. I ran the switch utility again and it does state that Sage is in 64bit mode. I cancelled out of the utility, didn't complete it. Just used it to check the status. 
 I hope I can get a quick answer, otherwise I may have to contact Sage support.

In Adobe Select 
 Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced) 
 Deselect Enable Protected Mode at Startup 
 Select Enable Enhance Security 
 You should be good to go.

Had another one today. I turned off the Enhanced Security in Adobe (Edit, Preferences, Security (Enhanced)) and it worked. Don't know if that was the underlying problem or if by killing the daily transaction register job and closing Adobe if that was what did it. Would love to know if this works for anyone else.
