sage 100 Miscellaneous item maintenance... change existing item type from "miscellaneous" to a "charge". What are the steps?

Miscellaneous item maintenance has items setup as a miscellaneous type, but should have been a charge.

Is there a way to change this?

Unfortunately they were already posted and updated with their existing incorrect information, but would like corrected before going forward.

You can just create a Miscellaneous Charge to use going forward, maybe appended with an 'A'. The Miscellaneous Item is '1234' and the Miscellaneous Charge is '1234A'. You can't delete the Miscellaneous Item because there is history tied to it. There is not any utility to change a Miscellaneous Item into a Miscellaneous Charge.

You can just create a Miscellaneous Charge to use going forward, maybe appended with an 'A'. The Miscellaneous Item is '1234' and the Miscellaneous Charge is '1234A'. You can't delete the Miscellaneous Item because there is history tied to it. There is not any utility to change a Miscellaneous Item into a Miscellaneous Charge.
