Does anyone have,an example of running a VI script using BOI?
I suggest posting your question in the 'Business Object Interface' forum or 'Customization and Productivity' forum instead.
Thanks Kevin for the link. I really need to do this via BOI to pass user input and get test results prior to the import. Batch files give you no feedback on success.
I could be wrong but I do not believe VI works with BOI commands. I've never even heard of anyone trying. Runtime parameters or changing the import file path / ODBC data source: not possible outside the UI (AFAIK).
If you're doing BOI, why not skip VI and use the correct business objects directly?
Kevin,
Take a peek at the BOI object references for VI. It gives you full control of running the script and simulate user input as well as feedback during the process.
The reason I'm having to use VI to write back to 100 is the Manufacturing module I'm working with doesn't support BOI.
The client is using Sage 100 Advanced. Running my work ticket flattening script in a console on a workstation is 8 times slower than running the same script on the server via the ScriptBasic Web Service in a browser on the workstation on their local network.
