PM Dynamic Issue reversal creates positive QOH with negative FIFO layer cost

SOLVED

SAGE 100 Advanced.PVX 2023 (Version 7.20.0.0) 32-bit

QOH (8) issued to 2 WT using PM Dynamic Inventory leaving no on hand balance

Item now has zero QOH and no FIFO layer.

Item later removed from WT back to Inventory creating positive QOH with negative FIFO layer for first transaction.

Second reversal shows positive FIFO layer.

How do you correct the negative FIFO layer created from PM WT Dynamic material return to Inventory for an item that had no QOH (positive QOH w/ negative FIFO cost layer)?

This is a reported issue that has been resolved in version 7.20.2.0.  Recommendation is to install the latest update which is version 7.20.4.  Otherwise, install version 7.20.2.0.  Another workaround if you are unable to install the product update is to use Work Ticket Transaction Entry Material transaction to de-issue the material instead of Dynamic Inventory.

The reported issue was "Dynamic Inventory De-Issue for item with only an OVERDIST tier results in quantity returned to Inventory with negative unit cost"

You can correct the negative FIFO layer using Inventory Transaction Entry adjustments.
