SO Closed Unintentionally WT Still Open

Hello
We had someone close a SO unintentionally, not 100% sure of how the closed it; yet it is closed and the WT attached is still open.

The SO is in history.

Is it possible for me to recreate the SO in Data File Display & Maintenance (SO Header & Detail files) (as we have a backup copy of it in the back up database) and then remove the history file?
If so, is there anything I should be aware of prior to doing so that may cause corruption?
I am pretty versed with working with the File Display and Maintenance-just have not done this before.

    I suggest trying in a test company first. I think you will need to re-create the record in SO_SalesOrderHeader and SO_SalesOrderDetail (for the lines tied to the work ticket).  Make sure they are identical to the SO_SalesOrderHistoryHeader and SO_SalesOrderHistoryDetail.  I think if you try to close the work ticket you will get errors due to the missing Sales Order.
