Is IRP finally a full replacement for MRP?

We use MRP every day in our manufacturing business. We also use billl of material. Demands are exploded down to sub component levels. We also include forecast in our MRP data.

Has IRP finally evolved to where it can fully replace MRP and allow me to move to Sage 100 premium with SQL?

My reseller hasn’t been able to answer that question with full certainty.

In my humble opinion, no.    I have been struggling with the proper settings and report options since we upgraded to 2024.    I miss MRP more than you can possibly imagine.   While at least there is now something called "IRP Report",  I have been unable to get it work the way the old MRP report did.    Also, the lack of a 'warehouse grouping' functionality has really screwed things up for us when it comes to the "on hand inventory" data.    I cannot answer to the SQL side of things though.
