Work Tickets

SOLVED

We have just started using work tickets and have found that when a work ticket is deleted, it is not deleting the allocation for the material.  As an example, have a work ticket for 20 yards of material, customer canceled the order, we canceled the work ticket but it is still showing material as allocated.

In yourProduction Management set up on the "Entry" tab are you auto-issuing materials?   We initially were doing that and then realized it would be much better for us to back flush because it's more "forgiving" and allowed us to make changes much easier.

Whether the auto issue is on or not, if you delete the WT, the allocation should be removed (IMHO).  Perhaps Sage is thinking if it has been issued, then it has been consumed.  But "allocated" to me means it has been reserved, not used.  Sounds like a BUG, even though you may get the WAD pushback against fixing it.  If you don't allocate inventory to the WT, how does purchasing know it may be time to reorder???
