Scott, thanks for posting the matrix.  Helpful.  But I am looking for feedback from those that trailblazed the SI path.  How did it migrate.  Any hidden gotchas, etc.

If I install 2025 workstation setup on computer currently running v2024, is SI 2.0 backwards compatible to v2024?

Anyone?  Installing the 2.0 version seems to be difficult to test in parallel.  Runs fine on WIN 11 WS for v2025 ADV with Excel 2019.  However, on the same workstation after launching v2024 STD, The subfolder (that displays the template) does not open after clicking on the report manager menu.  Looking for an SOP for running SI 2.0 on same workstation containing both v2024 and v2025.

So it appears that if you install v2025 on a workstation with v2024 installed, SI 2.0 Excel Addins are not compatible V2024.  V2024 SI does not generate ANYTHING from that workstation.  Looking for an SOP that works for workstations having 2024/2025?  Do we not install 2025 on any workstation using SI until company goes live?

What is the way forward?

How is this to work in an RDP environment when there is only one TS supporting multiple users.  It appears that you are dead in the water for v2024 SI as soon as that happens.  How do you set up a test environment without poisoning the v2024 SI user?

SI is not my specialty, but I reached out to a colleague and here is what they stated:

"To take advantage of the new templates and report designer add-ins released with the 2025 version, users must create a new report repository. If they want to carry their custom reports over to that new report repository, they can use the kb 224924850073592 “How to copy an existing Financial Report Designer Report to a new template”. There is no direct conversion utility, basically it’s the same process as the last time new templates/add-ins were released back in 2015."

Thanks Sage100ERPHelper but I still have many question unanswered.

What is the purpose of moving the reports one at a time?  it would appear that the copy/move changes the linkage, the template remains unchanged.  One would have thought that some effort could have been expended to develop a utility to ease the pain. The process you mention is 10 years old.  No one has thought of a better way??  I am sure some users have many reports to process.

Could you get someone to respond to my question about running 2025/2024 from the same workstation?  I need a SOP for installation and testing while users are still in the 2024 environment.  What if your environment is RDP.  One remote server for all users?

I will have others once I get past the ones mentioned above.
