Adjust +1, post.

Adjust -1, using the unit cost matching the value for the item/warehouse, post.

Run the negative tier process (IM - Period End menu).

(I think there is a KB article with more detail, but the above steps are the basics).

Thank you Kevin.  I've tried this using an Average valuation method and it works, however, did not work using a FIFO valuation method.  Let me double check, I appreciate you answer.

Make sure you do the +1 and -1 posts to the correct cost tier.

I adjusted +1 at the item's warehouse cost, posted, I then adjusted -1 at the item's cost and posted.  However, the extended cost is not showing 0.  I ran the neg tier process too.  

+1 at zero unit cost.

After posting, look at the cost tiers.  Adjust -1 using the lot value at that time.

In newer versions this is fixed (to automatically consume the total lot value when consuming the last quantity in the tier), but in older versions you need to manually set the -1 adjustment unit cost to match the tier value.

Hello Kevin, thanks for helping me.  Since we have three decimal places set for inventory items and some extended costs show with 5 decimal places I could not correct with the +1, -1, neg tier rep.  Would you know what tables I can adjust via SQL or data file display and maintenance to correct manually? e.g. IM_ItemWarehouse, CI_Item ?

I'd suggest you get your Sage Partner involved, or open a case with Sage.  All the inventory tables are linked together and you want to get everything (so rebalancing inventory files / recalculating history doesn't undo your changes).  I can't guide you through that in a quick reply.  Raw data edits of key tables should never be approached casually.

Oh, and 5 decimals in costs should be impossible, unless you had an enhancement to extend to beyond 4 decimals (in the past).
