We are pleased to announce that a new payroll tax update is available for Sage 300. The update for Canada includes program enhancements and fixes. There are no legislative changes for Canada. The US update includes program enhancements and fixes as well as state and local tax updates. There are no federal changes included for the US.

- If you are prompted to log in, enter your Customer Portal Username and Password, then click Log In.
Important notes:

- To use this product update, you must have Sage 300 Canada and/or US Payroll 8.0, which is supported in Sage 300 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023.
We highly recommend that all users update to the latest version to take advantage of the updates.
Sage 300 Canada
This update includes program enhancements and fixes:
- T4 & T4A Form Fixes: Fixed incorrect year display for 2025 forms and ensures employer and employee addresses print correctly.
- Special Character Issues in T4/T4A: Fixed errors that occurred when printing or generating XML with special characters in employer or employee details.
- Temporary Relevé 1 (RL1) for 2026: Added support to print the 2026‑01 temporary RL1 slip for employers who stop operating‑ or stop remitting source deductions and employer contributions during 2026 by setting the Payment Year to 2026 in the Relevé 1s window.
- EFT Deposit File Name Update: Deposit file names can now be up to 16 characters, supporting bank requirements.
- New Payroll Web Screen: Payroll Employees > Update Earn/Ded for All Employees has been added to allow users to update earnings and deductions for all employees from a single web screen on Sage 300 2026 PU1 and later.

Sage 300 US
This update includes state and local changes as well as program enhancements and fixes:
- State and/or local changes:
- Maryland
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Qualified Double Overtime Reporting (OBBBA):
- Added a new “Report as” option for reporting qualified double overtime.
- For use only when double overtime is recorded as a separate earning/deduction.
- NACHA Rule Update for Payroll EFT: All PPD wage payments now require PAYROLL in the Company Entry Description field.
- EFT Deposit File Name Update: Deposit file names can now be up to 16 characters to meet bank requirements.
- New Payroll Web Screen: Payroll Employees > Update Earn/Ded for All Employees has been added to allow users to update earnings and deductions for all employees from a single web screen on Sage 300 2026 PU1 and later.
