Sage 300 Payroll Tax Update Q2 2026 is now available

We’re pleased to announce that two new payroll tax updates are available for Sage 300. 

Based on your feedback, we have updated the naming convention for Sage 300 Canadian Payroll tax updates. Starting with this release, updates will be named using the effective date instead of the quarter. 

Example:

  • Previous: Sage 300 Canadian Payroll Tax Update Q2 2026
  • New: Sage 300 Canadian Payroll Tax Update July 1, 2026

Sage 300 Canadian Payroll Tax Update July 1, 2026 includes: 

  • Provincial and territorial legislative updates
  • No federal legislative updates
  • Product enhancement

Sage 300 US Payroll Tax Update Q2 2026 includes: 

  • State and local tax updates
  • No federal legislative updates
  • Product enhancements 

To download the update:

  1. Click the link below to download and install the applicable updates:
  1. If you are prompted to log in, enter your Customer Portal Username and Password, then click Log In

Important notes:  

  • If you have trouble downloading the update, clear your cache and cookies, use private browsing, or try using an alternative web browser.
  • To use this product update, you must have Sage 300 Canada and/or US Payroll 8.0, which is supported in Sage 300 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023.
  • Sage 300 2023 will no longer be supported following this tax update. Please reach out to your Business Partner for upgrade options.
  • If Canadian and US Payroll are installed, you must install the same Payroll Tax Update, otherwise you will not be able to log in to Sage 300 Web Screens.
  • If you are using the Sage HR Integration with Sage 300, you can only use the Sage 300 desktop interface to print checks. The 'Payroll Checks' screen is not available in Web Screens.

We highly recommend that all users update to the latest version to take advantage of the updates.

Sage 300 Canada 

This update includes provincial and territorial legislative updates and program improvements.

 Provincial and territorial legislative updates: 

  • British Columbia
  • Prince Edward Island (PEI)
  • Newfoundland & Labrador 

Product enhancement: 

  • Transaction history: Resolved an issue where incorrect warning messages displayed when CPP/CPP2 contributions exceeded limits.

Sage 300 US

This update includes state and local changes as well as program improvements.

State and local changes:

  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Ohio
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • Utah
  • West Virginia

Product enhancements:

The following enhancements have been added to support 2026 W-2 reporting requirements:

  • Treasury Typed Occupation Codes (TTOC): You can now assign TTOCs in employee records.
  • Employer contributions to Trump Accounts:
    • You can now set up a benefit earnings code to track and report employer contributions to Trump Accounts.
    • A new W-2 reporting option “Employer Contributions to Trump Accountsis available in Payroll Earnings and Deductions setup.
