Sage 300 Partial Fiscal Year

Does Accpac 300 allow for partial fiscal year-ends? I have a client who wants to change from Aug 31st to Jan 31. I will need to do it without the fiscal year utility because the Accpac version is too old.

I appreciate any input.

Thank you,

Lino C.

The company is using Accpac 300 5.0A from around 2001. The database is pervasive. I will contact Musick as you suggested. I'm hoping for Accpac to be able to be able to accept stub year of 5 months and then the following fiscal with 12 months, and 12 months going forward.

Thank you for providing Musick's name.

Musick International is indeed your best bet, and I would be surprised if they cannot do exactly what you want.  That being said, there is a clunkier way to deal with this, also.  Simply create a new company with the new fiscal year and import the basics from the existing company, along with GL beginning balances.  Not ideal, as all history prior to that point is now in another company, but it is an option.

Thanks for the idea Jim. That is another option.I'll contact Musick and hear the options and then decide how to proceed. I'm surprised Accpac doesn't allow partial/stub fiscal years as other ERP's I've worked with do allow it.

    Thanks for your help.
