Error batch in the GL says, "period 3 in Fiscal year 2025 is locked for GL in Common Services". However, in fact period 01 -05 is actually open in the Fiscal Calendar

Hi, Sage 300 Community,

I have encountered an issue with posting an AP-IN entry batch in the General Ledger. The error message says "error found during G/L posting sequence 1585. Check the G/L Error Batch(es) and G/L journal error report for details.

So, I went into the G/L posting journal report to see the error message in detail.

See snippets below the first one being the posting journal and the second one being fiscal calendar which clearly shows that period 03-2025 is open for posting in the General Leger.

Could someone please help me with this issue. Where does the problem lie and how do I resolve this issue?

If the period was locked when the entry was generated, then the error batch would have been created. Close out of everything, make sure the period is unlocked and then go to the GL batch list and post…

May be restart your server and log back into sage and make changes. Never had a problem with common services Fiscal calendar. It works 100%

If the period was locked when the entry was generated, then the error batch would have been created.
Close out of everything, make sure the period is unlocked and then go to the GL batch list and post again.
