How do I determine what Sage Software I have?

I want to choose the correct option in this Sage Community, but under my System Information it says "6.0A (Sage ERP Accpac 100) (Build 0)".  If I choose Sage 100 and go to the Knowledge Base it lists lots of versions to pick from but no 6.0A Accpac, the only options are Sage 100 with different years.  My Help menu does not seem to be connected to the data.  When you click on any of the headings in the content or index list nothing appears.

I appreciate any help.  Thank you

I've been looking at switching to Quickbooks or Xero from my "ancient" Sage Accpac Version 6.0.  But WOW those QB comments online are very scary and Xero seems to be to basic.  I only use AP, GL, Bank Reconciliation and Financial reporting from my Accpac Sage V6 (that costs me zero $).

My POS handles all my inventory procedures and all of my on site, ecommerce, financing and AR sales.  I export/import my daily business GL entries and vendor trade invoices from POS to Accpac.  My G/L setup has several profit centers, and I use auto allocations and roll up accounts, plus many custom financial statements.  In A/P my vendors use complex terms (6%N30,4%N45,N60), and I use auto generate payment batches.

I would like to have some additional features that allow me to pay my vendors directly from my bank trough the program, track and reconcile company credit card charges, and an improved (easier) financial reporting tool.  Lastly, allow me to save more than three years of data in the software!

What Sage option would you recommend or is it overkill for what I need?  It doesn't seem you can buy it by the module any longer??  Thanks for any recommendations or advice.

Hi  it sounds like your POS solution is the backbone of your business, so perhaps it would be best to start there and look for accounting solutions known to work well with it.  You can then see if those accounting solutions work well with the features you're after.  If you were to subscribe to Sage 300 2025 at the closest tier to what was previously 100 edition, I would expect you would get 7 or possibly unlimited years of financial history now but this will need to be confirmed with Sage in your region.  You will also get access to a free entry-level license for Sage Intelligence Reporting which may meet your needs for enhanced reporting out of the box without needing to spend extra.  The single free license comes with a range of pre-built Financial and Operation reports, including Inventory and Orders, and they can be customized to a degree.

Ideally if you let us know your region someone here should be able to get in touch, or you could contact your local Sage office, to give you an idea of what it would cost to meet the requirements you've mentioned above.  Good luck!
