These are new fields required by CRA and it is mentioned in the release notes Payroll Update Release Notes.

T619 Electronic Transmittal for 2025 The T619 has been updated for tax year 2025.

Doesn't actually help at all. As mentioned, many employers do not log on to their CRA account using a RepID. Sage is forcing an entry there to save the xml file and it's is not always applicable.

Sage is just complying with CRA requirements for 2025.. I'm not sure Sage has a choice in this matter.

I looked on CRA site and can't find any mention that this is optional, if you have some documentation from CRA or a link, I'd be happy to forward it to our Developers for review..

The key phrase below is "Required (if logged in using Represent a client (RAC) application)". Not everyone logs in using RAC

New fields added:

can you try BN15 Account and put in the Tax number, I believe you can upload without a REPID.

The XML file will not generate if we leave that Rep ID field blank, regardless of BN9 or BN15 above. 

if you just removed the middle line, does it upload?  this is if you leave the RepID field blank.

Can't leave the RepID blank though. It will not create the XML file without something in there. I have to add something in that field to save it, then I open the XML file and remove all 3 lines. It then is accepted by CRA without errors.

Having the samed issue... Is their a "solution" on the way ?

Working on a hot fix. 

See T619, Electronic Transmittal. The T619 is the common submission portion of all xml e-filing including for T4s. Specifically:

"Note: When completing the T619, provide the Transmitter Account number OR the RepID OR both. Ensure that whichever account number or RepID is used to access the filing portal, the same account or Rep ID must be entered in the T619."

In other words, RepID is not mandatory, and as others have stated, most companies will not use a RepID - that would generally only be used where an external accountant is e-filing on behalf of one of their clients. Based on the above, Sage should only be validating that one of the two fields is populated, not both.

For what it's worth.... it seems CRA will accept the T4 e-file if you enter seven 0's (0000000) in the RepID field, so that would be a workaround if you don't have the hot fix installed.

Good to know. We had tried some other random combinations in there and they all failed.

When I "install" the hot fix for the T4 format files, the T4 Efile crashes when I try to generate it. Anybody else is having the same issue? 

Hi JLM,

I have reported a similar issue to development.. it's related to the French character hot fix and in my troubleshooting, it is looking like Windows Defender is closing the process. 

As a test, can you set an exclusion on your Windows Defender to not check the Sage directory?

Hi David, I did get IT to exclude Sage300 program files and it is still crashing when trying to create the T4Efiles. If we don't replace the 2 T4 format files from the Hot fix Sage has provided, we have no issue creating the T4 efile but CRA is rejecting the file.

"The error we get is The account number in the file you are importing does not match the account number you used to sign in. Please verify your file and try again."
