Sage 300- CWELCC vs. Non-CWELCC segregation

Any advice on using Sage 300 (or an App) to segregate & report on CWELCC vs. Non-CWELCC revenues and costs?

    Hello Paul, 

    Can you provide a bit more detail as to the question?  When I search for CWELCC it's something to do with the Licensed Child Care in Ontario?  is that correct?

     

    How are you tracking CWELCC and Non-CWELCC currently in Sage 300?  Are you just posting Journal Entries in General Ledger?

    Add a GL segment to tracking "funding source" and add segment values for CWELCC and non-CWELCC (parents). Expand your existing GL revenue and expense accounts to incorporate the new segment and segment values.

    Then, configure the rest of the system (AR Items, AP distribution codes, payroll cost center overrides, etc.) to distribute transactions to GL accounts with the new segment codes.

    Some expenses might not be directly attributable to CWELCC/non-CWELCC (i.e. shared) and could be booked to shared accounts to be re-distributed at month-end on a percentage basis using the GL auto allocation function.
