Sage 300 ERP 2024 Workstation Install - No Supported Database - Unable to open Orgs Table in SITE directory

Good Day

We run a Windows 2016 Server with AD for our Sage 300.

We have several computers that are running the workstation software fine, and are able to connect to the Server, and do everything.

However I am in the process of upgrading their Workstation PC's (mainly due to Windows 10 EOL). With these upgrades, we are starting with a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro (have also tried it with Windows 10 Pro).

When installing Sage 300 Workstation, I put in the Data folders as

Programs \\server\Sage\Sage 300 ERP\

SharedData \\server\Sage\Sage 300 ERP\SharedData

However after installing the Workstation software, it gives me the 'No Supported Databases' and a button to set a database up (that does nothing).

If I run the support utility, and compare it to another machine that is working fine, almost everything is identical (with the Path's etc), however the new installation PC's come back with 'Unable to Open Orgs Table in SITE directory, error=5'

I have tried running the Installer, and the Workstation software as Adminstrator. The Computer and user has full access to those folders on the server, and I can even open the orgs file in notepad.

Any suggestions, as I do not want to log a call for their support to help out every time I am replacing a computer.

Thanks

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I downloaded the latest ODBC Driver 19 for SQL Server (64 bit, which installs 64 and 32 bit).

I ran the installer for Sage 300 again, but I still get Error 5 trying to open the Orgs Table.

ODBC Data Sources 32 bit only shows 1 System Data Source : XXXX_XXXX (32 Bit, ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server)

I then went into that Data Source, edited it to turn off the Mandatory encryption. and bingo. (I think the newer ODBC Driver has a default for Encryption on).

So, I am up and running.

    Thank you
