Hi ,

Sage 300 7.2 , we have a 3rd party application that build to connect through API. When we tested the apps it is unable to connect to Sage 300 Session . If we check to Event Viewer we found this error

Login failed for user '##S3_LOGIN_ADMIN##SAGE300VAULT'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided. [CLIENT: <local machine>]

Sage 300 is working fine no issue, only this 3rd party apps is unable to connect. Please advise.

Changes in connectivity security was introduced in 2024.2 and 2025 (7.1 and 7.2). This now requires complex passwords over 8 characters in length. Does your customization reflect this new requirement.

Hi , Thanks for your response. Yes after further checking they found out some missing on adapting the new security tech. Now it is solved.
