The next release of Sage 500 ERP is expected to be  version 2026 with a release date later this year, likely October 2025.  

The next product updates are expected to be released in late Jul 2025 for versions 2024, 2023, and 2021.

The next 1099 compliance releases for TY 2025 are expected to be released around the end of this calendar year for version 2026, 2024, 2023, 2021, 2019 and 2018, as well as the January 2026 PUs for supported versions.  We also expect to update the various versions of the DB Utilities installs in January/February to include the 1099 TY 2025 changes.

Version 2021 will receive the January 2025 Product Update (PU) as the last PU for that version.  It may be followed with 1099 compliance support beyond that for a limited time (similar to versions 2019 and 2018).  Sage 500 ERP only actively supports the latest released version, plus the two previous versions.

Our SAGE partner is telling us there is no choice but to migrate off. Their quote to migrate to Intact is double our annual cost of using SAGE 500 and our fixed asset system (Intact will replace the fixed asset software.. there is a $10K savings there, but this is Offset by a $45,00 increase in annual licensing fees. Do we really need to migrate or are the SAGE partners out there still willing to support SAGE 500. We do not use it as a tru ERP system. We use it for our general ledger (12 companies) and a small portion of our accounts payable (one person handle AP). So we see no labor savings opportunity with the migration.
