When I Receive Money or Enter/Pay Bill, Pay Employee, etc., the date defaults to the first day of the period. Can I set it to default to the current date, instead?
You just need to change your period. If today (actually, the system date) is within your current period, transactions will default to today. If not, transactions will default to the first day of your current period. There's no way to change that behavior.
