The message about being over the limit may be a result of the credit status setting on the customer record (or the customer default settings if the customer is not using customized terms).  This can be changed in the customer record or customer default settings (screen below).  If the invoice is trying to print hundreds of pages instead of just one its possible the commands are missing from the formula, the article below will give instruction on how to correct this.
