You can skip the select for deposit step all together by entering the Deposit Ticket ID in the upper left of the receive money screen.  For things like checks, enter the same Deposit Ticket ID in and it will group up the deposit automatically.  ie 7/8/2025 or if its is credit cards enter 7/8/2025cc or an ach enter 07/08/25ACH.  You can go to Maintain/Default Information/Customers and then the Pay Method tab and check the box for In Receipts and they system will default a Deposit Ticket ID into that field for you.  [email protected] 

Hi Jon, If you have deposits for previous periods, and your accounts are reconciled for those periods,  Put in the period date and accept it.  When you are depositing one check and it is not grouped, it won't clear out of the select for deposit screen. 

For the ones for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, & 2023, do one large select for deposit for each year.   When you get to the open periods, post each transaction separately, do not group them together.  Do one deposit at a time. 

Once you get it cleaned up, come back to this screen when reconciling each month and clear them out while they are fresh in your mind.

Sage won't let me back date them.  Can I just date them all the day I do the select for deposit.

Just use the 1st day of the 1st open period. 

OK, got them all closed, but that window is still really slow.  With only one transaction showing up, it still takes up to a minute to save a single record.  

I think that is normal.  Mine is slow to save and print a deposit slip too.
