Company backup data

Question

I recently got a new laptop and all of my Sage was on m y old PC. I backed up my company data from the old computer on a zip drive. I downloaded Sage 50 on my new laptop. How do I get my backup data back in to show my company to show? Everything says to go to File, Restore but I can't get in that far to do that. I just get asked to either create a new company of open an existing company but my company isn't there yet. How do I get the company data into this new program?

Open Sage on the new computer. Go to File > Restore and bring in you company file as a NEW company. 
 I would suggest choosing Data plus forms if you have any customized forms. 
 
 It is that easy.

You will open Sage 50 without any companies open. Go to File > Restore and select a new company since it is not on that machine. It will not open up a new company. Just create a new file on your new computer.
