Well, the good news is, you can stop looking for a way to widen the field. The bad news is there is no way to adjust the column widths.

What program are you using?   Sage 50 (Year)

Are you using 2-line display? 

Go to Top menu bar >Options Tab > Global >General tab   Choose 2 line display.    You will see the name of the item in the second line.
