Recording billable time for the owner

SUGGESTED

Good Morning,

I am new to Sage 50 (USA).  I am the owner of an LLC filing as a sole proprietorship which does not permit me to be recorded as an employee on the payroll.  I perform a significant amount of billable work on customer jobs.  I can't imagine that I'm the only one that has come across this, but I can't find help files that explain it.  My previous software allowed me to exist as an employee not on the payroll.  This doesn't seem to be an option here.  Can anyone help with recording billable time for the owner?

I don't mean to contradict Donald, but you would actually use Time Tickets for this, and just never pull those into a Customer Invoice, or onto a Payroll Check. That way, you can run reports on the time that you enter (billable vs non-billable, Customer vs Admin Time, etc.), without any financial impact on your system. You can even assign values to the Time Tickets and still, they will have no financial impact on your system other for reporting purposes.
