Can we set-up cost centers or allocate costs to specific cost object in Sage 50?

    You can segment your Chart of Accounts for Cost Centers, and then code your various transactions to those segments. You can also set up Cost Codes for Phases/Jobs, if cost centers within Jobs is what you are looking to do. For the Chart of Accounts, you have a 20 character ID field that can be structured however you see fit - but it's highly recommended that you use consistency, i.e., xxxx-xx-xxx or xxxxx.xxx etc. Once you determine how you want the segments structured, you can go into Maintain and Default Information and General Ledger to tell the system your Account Segments, and then use those in Reports and Financial Statements.
