Important-If you have installed Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP2-Read Immediately

  • An issue has been identified in Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP2 affecting all general ledger postings after the service pack installation
  • We are actively working on a resolution and are in the process of making the necessary changes to correct the issue
  • If you have installed SP2 for 2024, immediately reinstall Sage BusinessWorks 2024 on the server or standalone workstation.  If you run payroll in Kansas, install SP1 for 2024. Reinstalling the product will prevent issues with future postings but will not correct existing data
  • If you are planning to upgrade to 2024, it is OK to continue with your upgrade.  If you have already downloaded SP2 do not install this service pack
  • For further information and updates monitor this post and refer to the document: Postings missing from General Ledger reports in Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP2
  • The service pack download has been removed from the download portal

CAUTION: Do not close or rebuild your GL data until the issue is corrected. Rebuilding will cause errors and indicate that your entries have been deleted. If a rebuild has already been performed, restore a backup from before the rebuild.

  • Thanks for the email on this issue. If my data is affected will it be all data or a hit and miss thing?

     ,

Great question, this would affect all data entered since SP2 was installed.  The data is in the database, it is an issue with how it is being stored in the database tables. The way that it is being stored is causing the entries to not display on some reports. If a rebuild is done to the General Ledger, it will delete the transactions, do not rebuild until the issue has been corrected.  Stay tuned for more information on a fix for this issue.

We found a few errors so we will wait for a fix to the problem

    Thanks
