An issue has been identified in Sage BusinessWorks 2023 SP8 affecting AP, Checks, Enter Payments

If you have already installed SP8 for 2023 and need to use Enter Payments, you can reinstall Sage BusinessWorks 2023 on the server or standalone workstation.  After the reinstall, install SP7 for 2023. Alternatively, you may choose to upgrade to Sage BusinessWorks 2024 to avoid the issue. 

Please note that the issue does not affect your data. It only occurs when accessing the Enter Payments task.
