Important Notice: Action Required for Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP2 Users

CAUTION: Do not close or rebuild your GL data until you have contacted support to address the data issue. Rebuilding will cause errors and indicate that your entries have been deleted. If a rebuild has already been performed, restore a backup from before the rebuild. 

A critical issue has been identified in Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP2 that affects all general ledger postings after the service pack installation.

If SP2 has been installed on your system and you have not rolled back to Sage BusinessWorks 2024 on the server and all workstations (uninstall and reinstall the client), please follow these steps:

  1. Install SP3 for 2024: Immediately install Sage BusinessWorks SP3 on the server and all workstations to prevent further issues.
  2. Contact support to open a ticket to review your data for posting issues.

Important Note: The issue has been addressed in Sage BusinessWorks SP3, which prevents future occurrences. However, if you had SP2 installed, please contact support to open a support ticket for assistance detecting if you have any existing data issues.

For Users Planning to Upgrade to 2024: It is safe to proceed with your upgrade. However, if you have already downloaded SP2, do not install it.
