We are new to Simple Time. Keep getting error message when trying to setup Azure in Database Administration. error message "AADAP FAILURE".
Apparently it's been an issue since Feb 13th. Any progress on resolving this issue?

I had the same problem. Sage support had to walk me through the fix. Unfortunately, I do not remember all the steps. I would definitely reach out to support.
I too am looking for an update on this.
SIMPLE TIME ENTRY: New installations of the AADAP proxy fail or hang and never complete (sage.com)
I looked at Simple Time, but honestly, it falls short at so many levels. So much so that I spent the better part of 2023 developing a proprietary Sage 100 C mobile app integration that is hands-down the best thing out there for time capture and integration into Sage (focus is construction/contractor trades). It talks directly to the Sage DB and allows seamless integration to employees, jobs, work orders, etc. I know this isn’t an exact solution to the post, but this is exactly the reason I'm throwing it out there, in case it could lead to a better solution...?

Hi, we are also new to Sage 100 Contractor and trying to get the Simple Time App set up. I also can't get the Azure in Database Administration. Did you ever get it figured out? So far Sage Support has been no help. Simple Time App is 95% of the reason we decided to switch to Sage 100 Contractor.
Unfortunately no. We have been deep down the rabbit hole trying to get someone with answers without resolve. Extremely frustrating.
I agree. Very frustrating. Thanks for responding.
Microsoft recently made some changes that are causing the scripts we use to set up AADAP to fail. For now, we have devised a manual method to bypass this, so you will need to contact Sage Support to set up an escalation call for a senior tech to do this for you. Our next release should have a fix for this.
Do I contact Sage Support thru chat or call?
Start with chat. You should be able to setup the call back with a chat representative.
That's great news thank you.
Sage can only call you. There is no phone number to call Sage support. I mention this because apparently there is someone out there pretending to be Sage and scamming clients for thousands of dollars claiming their data is corrupt when it isn't. In fact, in two instances the issue wasn't Sage at all but rather someone not remembering their password to the cloud hosted site.
So there is NO phone number for Sage support. Do not search the internet as that is how the client got scammed
Ugh! I just chatted with Sage Support and she told me there isn't a fix yet. Even a manual bypass as you mentioned. Very frustrating.
Hey, so I just got off the phone with support. (accessed support via the chat function in sage) They do in fact have a manual "hot fix" that resolves the issue. There is reportedly a team of Sage people working down a large list of effected users of new simple time users. They told me to expect a call in the next week or two. Otherwise, the next Sage update, sometime after the 15th of April is supposed to resolve the issue. Best of luck to ya!
Glad you got clarification on this, but to be clear there are no planned updates for April for Sage 100 Contractor.
TSCHUBAUER: Is it a time-tracking or job-costing solution you're looking for? I mentioned this in an earlier thread response, but if you're looking for a time-tracking or job-costing solution, give me a shout and I think I have a solution (proprietary as of right now, but going to release it very soon). It captures payroll and job costing like none other, and integrates w/ work orders as well, then exports directly to Sage Daily Payroll. It's for Sage 100 Contractor only. I'm not trying to be a salesman here, I just know that what I've developed is a hands-down best solution for all of these issues.
Thanks for the update. I wondered if it was a case of what chat person you got, so I planned to chat again on Monday and see if I would get a person to help. In chat did you just ask someone to call you? I hope that I am on the list that you mention.
Good morning all. I am one of the support managers for Sage 100 Contractor. I want to provide some detail here regarding Simple Time and the AADAP installation issues some of you may have encountered. We understand the frustration and urgency with this, and our development team has been working with Microsoft to find a fix. We are finishing steps on a potential resolution that we will begin testing with a few select cases shortly. Currently this workaround is not ready for general use. We will provide an update once we have validated this fix and deem it effective. This page will be updated with more information when the fix is released. I apologize for any misinformation previously posted.
Sometime after April 15th (tax day) is what the Sage help person told me. Sounds like Tiffani just gave an update below in regards to the issue and Sage's efforts to fix it. Thanks.
I asked the chat person to set me up with a senior tech to resolve the AADAP/simple time issue. Someone called me an hour or so later and informed me there was a list they were working down and to expect a call in 1-2 weeks. I suspect there is miscommunication within the Sage team which is why we have all been getting different answers. (see Tiffani's post below)
Perhaps ADJONY is onto something...
Any update on this issue?
I am still trying to get Simple Time set up. I think Microsoft got their problem fixed, but I still get an error message when trying to "install proxy". I was working with a Sage Support lady, and she remoted in and said I was missing IIS on my server. That is now installed, but I still get the error message. The lady I was working with is out the rest of the week, so I just did another chat today and asked if another Senior Support person could call me and help. Still waiting for the call from them. I really need to get this set up for my employees to enter their time.
I have been contending with this AADAP Failure as a new user since February and think I have a fix.
Step 1:
Login to https://entra.microsoft.com/
Step 2: Expand "Applications" and Select Enterprise applications
Step 3: Hopefully you should see "2 applications found"
One should say Sage Business Center
The other should say your PC-NAME the proxy should be installed into
Click the blue link of that PC-Name, something like PC-NAME_Sage100ContractorTime_UniqueID
Step 4: Inner Left Side Menu > Manage > Select Application Proxy
Step 5: Look for this text at the bottom of the page
We recommend at least two active connectors in selected group
'PCNAME_Sage100ContractorTime_UniqueID_CG'.
Step 6: Click the Link that says, Click here to download a connector or manage your connector groups
Step 7: Hopefully you're on Private Network connectors page that shows the PC you trying to configure
Here is a direct link to help:
Private Network connectors - Microsoft Entra admin center
Step 8: At the top menu click Enable Private Network connectors
Step 9: Try to reinstall the proxy
Hopefully you receive "Proxy for mobile apps is installed " and the diagnostic tools appear in the database admin tool!
I'm not saying this is the end all fix to this problem, but it fixed my issues!
Good Luck
Was this issue resolved with the 26.1 release last week?
Unfortunately, No
The 26.1.154.0 Update gave me the same issue. "Failed to install proxy" AADAP Failure
Been with tech support for 2 days now waiting to see a resolve.
I decided to dig in and got it resolved on my own.
There are many pieces involved getting this setup and only takes 1 to break.
My issue may not be yours, but worth the try.
Thanks for the info, Troy!
