Washington Workers Comp Calculation Issue

SOLVED

We have recently noticed an issue where our Sage 100 Contractor company is not calculating and posting the employer portion of Washington Workers Compensation. I was wondering if anyone else came across this issue. All employees have the correct calculations setup, and the rates are entered. Sage support so far has been unable to help.

    Hello Mauricio,

There's a couple of things with WA Worker's Comp to check.  First is in 5-3-2 that the Employer % is there. Next up is the 5-3-1 Calculation itself which should be:

    • Tax Type: 11-Workers’ Compensation
    • Calc Type: 3-Employer Cost
    • Calc Method: 8-Per Hour (all hours)
    • Based On: 0-None
    • Max Type: 0-None

If all that's in place we may need to take another look at things through Chat.

    Hello Mauricio,

Make sure you have set up the employer and employee calculations per the steps in the Help topic for Washington Workers Compensation. To view this topic, click the Help button at the bottom left of the Sage 100 Contractor main window, then type "washington" in the search box. If you already have this set up correctly, then please contact Sage Support, request an escalation, and give them a Support Backup (secure backup with sensitive information and attachments removed) of your data for testing.

  • Thank you everyone who chimed in. Turns out we had set up the employer's portion of WC to use tables as the calculation method, however, as pointed out it should be 8-Per Hour (all hours).
