I'm sorry you are running into problems with the import file!  Determining the formatting issue definitely is challenging!

In some cases, this error message means that the specified cost code is not yet set up in either EQ or JC (if it will post to JC).  The cost code must be set up before importing or be on the Standard Cost Code list so it can be added based on the template or standard cost code.

I successfully imported the data with a few minor adjustments:

1. In Job Cost, both the group cost code and cost code needed to be set up under Standard Cost Codes. Additionally, I set up the cost code and category under Setup Cost Code  and Setup Category for the specific job to ensure accuracy.
2. The date format I used was 03/18/2025 instead of hyphens. This applied to both accounting and transaction date fields (columns G and M or Fields 7 and 13).
3. I included GL debit and credit accounts in columns N and O (Fields 14 and 15), but note that I am interfacing with GL, which may not be applicable to you.
4. I omitted the JC cost code and category (columns S and T or Fields 19 and 20) as they were pulled from the equipment setup in EQ.

Thank you for your replies.  I do all of that and now I get an Unknown record type identifier field 1, column 1.  I will give the support line a call.
